IOC Prize “Sport Beyond Borders” awarded to Belagroprombank
For the first time in the history of Belarus, JSC Belagroprombank has been conferred with a prestigious award “Sport Beyond Borders” by the International Olympic Committee.
On June 3, an official awards ceremony took place at M.Gorky Park in the capital city of Minsk within the framework of the International Olympic Day celebrations. The delivery of the prestigious award became the highlight of the sport festivity that gathered the officials, honorable guests, athletes, mass media representatives, local residents and visitors to the capital.

The award was conferred by the International Olympic Committee to Belagroprombank for the organization of the sports projects, namely the campaign “What are you capable of?” encouraging people to start doing sports and exercise charity, and “The Dream Team” project which primary goal is to encourage orphaned children to take up football. According to the IOC official letter, this is a “well-deserved award for the excellent initiative from Belagroprombank in the sphere of sport development”
Belagroprombank has been honored by the International Olympic Committee with an award “Sport Beyond Borders” for its significant contribution to the promotion of sport and a healthy lifestyle.
– Sport makes part of our corporate social responsibility, – Chairman of the Board Anatoli Lysiuk noted. – We have been the General Sponsor for the National Olympic Committee since 2013, and we are genuinely proud of this partnership. As from 2015, a symbol of the children’s savings program “Grow Happy!” Agrik has acted as the National Olympic team’s mascot for five times at the biggest international competitions – the Olympic and the European games, as well as youth Olympic festivals.
Belagroprombank focuses on the promotion of sports, in the first place among children and youth, in order to pass the right message to the younger generation in the era of gadgets and smartphones which, unfortunately, far too often replace real life for kids. Sport gives them the opportunity to see this life at its finest, and not through the TV screen.

Summarizing its speech, Anatoli Lysiuk emphasized:
– We thank the International Olympic Committee for the high appraisal of Belagroprombank’s sport initiatives, namely “The Dream Team” project which provided the orphaned children with the opportunity to tap into the professional football game, and the sports campaign in the social networks “What are you capable of?” which helped raise funds for the purchase of the unique training device for the Republican Treatment Centre for disabled children. We are confident that our further collaboration with the National Olympic Committee aimed at promotion of the Olympic traditions will be very successful and productive. Belagroprombank will definitely continue to implement projects related to sport and a healthy lifestyle as such initiatives may become beneficial for Belarusians, both adults and children.
At the awards ceremony, First Vice President of NOC Belarus Andrei Astashevich noted Belagroprombank’s contribution in the promotion of sport and a healthy lifestyle in our country:

The International Olympic Day with Belagroprombank!
The delivery of the award to Belagroprombank became the highlight for the sports festivities that took place in Gorky Park on Saturday. For a half day, the hockey field and the walkway in front of the hockey club Yunost-Minsk turned into the sports ground for children and adults which became the venue for the entertaining quizzes, contests, sports competitions, master classes from famous Belarusian athletes on various kinds of sport– starting from football, volleyball, handball and ending with curling, American football, jiu-jitsu and many others.

The entertainment sports zone in front of the stadium was organized by Belagroprombank. A popular character Agrik – a symbol of the children’s savings program “Grow Happy!” and a friend to all kids – met the guests and invited them to participate in the sports competitions.
Agrik is inviting friends to celebrate the International Olympic Day in Gorky Park together with Belagroprombank.
