New names and volume increase - Belagroprombank in the European syndicated loan market

    25.10.2019

The European syndicated loan facility raised by Belagroprombank in October 2018 extended on October 25, 2019 for the next 1-year period. Wherein, the structure of the transaction and its volume have changed.

The total amount of the facility raised by the bank as a result of the extension is 60 million euros, which is one and a half times the original transaction volume. Oversubscription was formed during the book-building, which confirms the active demand from Western investors for the qualitative risk of Belarusian borrowers. It is important to note that the bank managed to reduce the cost of borrowing at the extension stage.

Belagroprombank, together with an agent bank and legal advisers, put in a lot of effort to adjust the initial transaction documentation in order to ensure the possibility of new participants joining it.

Driven by meetings and negotiations with leading European banks, the lenders club at the extension stage increased its membership by four new names, including debutants on the Belarusian syndication market. Financial institutions that are listed among TOP-5 banks of Austria and Poland as well as two international financial organizations are among them. The final regional composition of lenders is presented by participants from Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland and Albania.

The track record of Belagroprombank was enriched by another significant project by the extension of an already unique transaction. Belagroprombank thanks all participants of the syndicated loan facility and congratulates on the successful implementation of the transaction.
