On Internet Fraud Prevention
In the course of monitoring information on the global Internet, JSC Belagroprombank revealed a number of websites containing the bank name or web-design of which is very similar to the design of the official website of JSC Belagroprombank (for example, belagroprombank.ru, belagroprombank24.ru, ibank-belapb.ru/belagroprombank-lichnyy-kabinet and others). The indicated resources are informational and contain links to various sections of the official website of the Bank.
However, practice shows that this type of Internet resources, after gathering a sufficient number of visitors, begin to function as follows: the links to the official pages of the institutions' websites are replaced with links leading to the fake pages of the websites where the user is prompted to enter personal data: bank payment card number, secret data to log in to remote banking service systems and confirming transactions (logins, passwords) and other confidential information. Further, the obtained information can be used by attackers to carry out unauthorized operations.
In order to prevent Internet fraud, we recommend you to follow the following simple rules:
- use information posted only on the corporate website of the Bank "www.belapb.by", and make sure that the address bar starts with the prefix https: / / - this means that a secure connection is established;
- the Bank applications should be installed through the App Store, Google Play, Windows Store. All official applications of the Bank can be found here;
- do not transfer to third parties information about bank card details, as well as usernames, passwords, one-time access codes, session keys to Internet banking and mobile applications.
