To the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, with the mascot Agrik!
A presentation of the mascot of the Olympic team of Belarus Agrik was held during the celebration of the international Olympic Day in Minsk. A fairy-tale character of JSC Belagroprombank that has been a symbol of success for Belarusian athletes during numerous international competitions will patronize our team at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro!
On July, 2 a large sporting event dedicated to the international Olympic Day took place in the public Gorky Park in Minsk, in the area in front of the Ice Palace "Yunost". In anticipation of the summer Olympic Games the mass sporting event was held under the motto "On the way to Rio - 2016. Stay with your team”!
Traditionally, all the guests were greeted by Maxim Ryzhenkov, First Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus. He underlined that this holiday, celebrated annually throughout the world, is dedicated to a healthy lifestyle and should show to the residents and guests of the capital, especially children and the youths how important is sport in the life of each person and the country as a whole.

During the official ceremony dedicated to the opening of the International Olympic Day in Minsk Tatiana Sidorenya, Head of Marketing and Public Relations Department of JSC Belagroprombank handed a soft toy Agrik to First Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov:
– We are pleased that Agrik once again becomes the mascot of our national team. It already brought luck to our athletes during the European games in Baku, youth festival in Tbilisi, the Olympic Games in Lillehammer. Today we are glad to present Agrik as the mascot of our athletes – participants of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016! We sincerely believe that Agrik will bring luck and will definitely contribute to achieving the highest sports results!
Maxim Ryzhenkov noted that Agrik had provided Belarusian athletes many happy moments of triumph during serious sports competitions and thanked Belagroprombank, a longtime partner of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, for fruitful collaboration.

During the celebration of the International Olympic Day awards were handed to young athletes of the NOC of Belarus for the second half of 2016.
Agrik – the mascot of the Olympic team and a favourite of children presented everyone a good mood
The public park became a large sports and entertaining ground on that sunny day of July. Visitors of the park plunged into the atmosphere of the fascinating sporting event, were able to participate in various competitions, quizzes and win prizes and souvenirs from the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
Various sports competitions in different sport types were organized in the area in front of the Ice Palace "Yunost". Everyone could try themselves in athletics, football, field hockey, martial arts, gymnastics, running, roller skating, football, golf, handball, archery, fencing, skateboarding and other sports.
A master class in football for children was held by a famous Belarusian football player, Head coach of the national team of Belarus Alexandr Hatskevich
In addition, children and adults had an opportunity to get a master class from professional athletes and an informal talk with the famous Belarusian Olympic athletes.
A sports holiday was a success. A great mood and the Olympic enthusiasm with which the guests of the event were leaving the park were the evidence of that fact!
